Ingredients:

  • 250 grams beef, thinly sliced
  • 250 grams potatoes, cut into cubes
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 shallots, sliced
  • 5 medium chili peppers, sliced (adjust to taste)
  • 1 packet teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 beef bouillon cube (such as Royco)
  • Water, as needed

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef:

    • Slice the beef thinly and rinse it under cold water. Place it in a pot with enough water to cover the meat. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the beef is tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Potatoes:

    • Peel and cube the potatoes. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the potatoes until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove from oil and set aside.
  3. SautΓ© the Aromatics:

    • In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed and sautΓ© the minced garlic, sliced shallots, sliced onion, and chili peppers until they are fragrant and slightly caramelized.
  4. Create the Sauce:

    • Add 1 glass of water (preferably the water from boiling the beef) to the pan with the sautΓ©ed ingredients. Stir in the teriyaki sauce, sweet soy sauce, beef bouillon cube, and black pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors.
  5. Combine Ingredients:

    • Return the cooked beef and fried potatoes to the pan. Stir gently to coat the beef and potatoes with the sauce. Allow everything to simmer together for a few more minutes, letting the flavors meld and the sauce to thicken.
  6. Serve:

    • Your Beef Teriyaki is now ready to be served. Enjoy it hot with steamed rice or as a stand-alone dish.

This Beef Teriyaki recipe combines the rich, umami flavors of the teriyaki sauce with the heartiness of beef and the crispy texture of potatoes, making it a delectable and well-rounded meal that’s sure to please everyone at your table.
