Simple Beef Tripe Soup Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/4 kg beef tripe
- 1 packet of soup seasoning (e.g., Sajiku)
- 1 packet of Masako beef seasoning
- 600 ml water
- Salt and oil as needed
Sliced Ingredients
- 5 cabbage leaves
- 3 carrots
- 2 stalks of celery and spring onion
- 2 cloves of shallots
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 tomato
Steps
- Prepare the Beef Tripe: Start by boiling the beef tripe with a pinch of salt. Rinse it and repeat this process until the smell is gone. (I usually boil it three times).
- Cut the Tripe: Once the tripe is cleaned, cut it into bite-sized pieces according to your preference. Set it aside.
- Sauté the Aromatics: In a large pot, heat some oil and sauté the shallots and garlic until fragrant.
- Add Water: Pour in 600 ml of water and bring it to a boil.
- Cook the Vegetables and Tripe: Add the beef tripe, carrots, and cabbage to the pot.
- Season the Soup: Stir in the soup seasoning packet, Masako beef seasoning, and add salt to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Add Greens and Tomato: Finally, add the sliced celery, spring onion, and tomato. Let it cook for a few more minutes until the greens are wilted.
- Serve: Serve the soup hot and enjoy a comforting bowl of this delicious Beef Tripe Soup.
