Beef Yakiniku KW ala @pawontehtita
Ingredients:
- 500 grams beef, cleaned and sliced
- 3 onions, cut lengthwise
- 10 large green chilies, sliced lengthwise (preferably use green bell peppers)
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon shrimp paste (optional)
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- 300 cc beef broth
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 sachet of pepper seasoning
- 1 sachet of oyster sauce
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Beef: Begin by washing the beef thoroughly. Boil it in a pressure cooker for 30 minutes. Set aside, saving the beef broth.
-
Sauté Aromatics: In a large pan, heat some vegetable oil over medium heat. Sauté the minced garlic, grated ginger, and shrimp paste until fragrant. Add the green chilies and cook until they are slightly wilted.
-
Combine Ingredients: Add the beef slices to the pan along with the remaining seasonings—fish sauce, garlic powder, lime juice, and the beef broth. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
-
Adjust Seasoning: Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper seasoning to your preference. Once the flavors are well balanced, add the sliced onions.
-
Simmer Until Tender: Reduce the heat to low and let the dish simmer until the broth reduces and the flavors are fully absorbed into the beef, approximately 20-25 minutes.
