Beef Yakiniku Recipe
Ingredients
- 250 grams of beef (thinly sliced)
- 2 onions (1 sliced lengthwise, 1 diced)
- 1 bell pepper (coarsely chopped)
- 1 stalk green onion (chopped)
- 4 tablespoons yakiniku sauce
- 4 tablespoons sweet soy sauce (adjust to taste)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- Salt and sugar to taste
- Toasted sesame seeds for garnish
Marinade:
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Spice Paste:
- 1 cm ginger (grated)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
-
Prepare the Beef: Rinse the thinly sliced beef under cold water to clean it. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, and lemon juice to create the marinade. Add the beef slices, ensuring they are well coated. Allow the beef to marinate for at least 2 hours, preferably in the refrigerator.
-
Cook the Spice Paste: Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the grated ginger and black pepper, and sautรฉ until fragrant. Add the diced onion and cook until it becomes translucent.
-
Sautรฉ the Beef: In the same pan, add the marinated beef. Stir-fry until the beef is browned on all sides. Add the sweet soy sauce, yakiniku sauce, minced garlic, and a little water if needed. Season with salt and sugar according to your taste preferences. Continue to cook until the flavors are well combined and the liquid has reduced slightly.
-
Pressure Cook: Transfer the beef mixture to a pressure cooker and cook under high pressure for 20 minutes. This step helps tenderize the beef and infuse it with the flavors.
-
Thicken the Sauce: After the pressure cooking is complete, stir in 1 tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with a little water to thicken the sauce. Let it cook for a few more minutes until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
-
Sautรฉ Vegetables: In a separate pan, sautรฉ the lengthwise-sliced onion, bell pepper, and green onion until they are tender but still crisp.
-
Combine and Garnish: Mix the sautรฉed vegetables into the beef mixture. Adjust the seasoning if needed. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
Serve your Beef Yakiniku hot with steamed rice or noodles for a delightful meal. Enjoy!
