Simply Beef Yakiniku
Ingredients:
- 300 grams beef, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
- Hot water, as needed
- 4 large green chilies, seeded and sliced diagonally
- 1 small onion, sliced lengthwise
- Salt, to taste
- Chicken or beef bouillon powder, to taste
- Sugar, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
-
Sauté the Garlic: Heat a pan over medium heat and add the crushed garlic. Sauté until fragrant and golden brown.
-
Cook the Beef: Add the thinly sliced beef to the pan with the garlic. Stir-fry until the beef changes color and is evenly cooked.
-
Add Water and Seasonings: Pour enough hot water into the pan to cover the beef. Season with salt, sugar, bouillon powder, and ground black pepper. Stir in the sweet soy sauce and oyster sauce. Cook, allowing the beef to simmer until tender and the flavors are well absorbed.
-
Adjust the Taste: Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary, adding more salt, sugar, or bouillon powder as needed.
-
Add Vegetables: Incorporate the sliced green chilies and onion into the pan. Continue to cook until the vegetables are tender and have absorbed the flavors.
-
Serve: Once the vegetables are wilted and the beef is fully cooked, remove the pan from heat. Serve the Beef Yakiniku hot with steamed rice or as a side dish.
