Ingredients

For the Marinade:

  • 500 grams beef steak
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon finely ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt, to taste

For the Sauce:

  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 3 tablespoons spicy sambal sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 200 ml water
  • Margarine for sautéing
  • 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef:

    • Slice the beef into pieces about 1 cm thick and then cut each piece into 6 portions.
    • In a bowl, combine all the marinade ingredients: white pepper powder, black pepper, oyster sauce, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. Mix well.
    • Rub the marinade all over the beef slices, using a fork to poke the meat so that the flavors penetrate deeply.
    • Cover and refrigerate the marinated beef for at least 1 hour to let the flavors infuse.
  2. Make the Sauce:

    • Heat a pan over medium heat and add margarine for sautéing.
    • Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until they are translucent and fragrant.
    • Stir in the sweet soy sauce, oyster sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and spicy sambal sauce. Mix well.
    • Dissolve the cornstarch in water and pour it into the pan, stirring continuously until the sauce begins to thicken and bubble.
    • Season with black pepper, white pepper, and salt to taste. Cook until the sauce reaches a rich, thick consistency.
  3. Cook the Beef:

    • Heat a grill pan or regular pan over medium-high heat and add a bit of margarine.
    • Grill the marinated beef slices until they are cooked to your desired level of doneness. Ensure they are tender and juicy.
  4. Serve:

    • Place the cooked beef slices on a serving plate.
    • Pour the black pepper sauce generously over the beef.
    • Serve hot and enjoy!

This Beef Steak with Black Pepper Sauce is a savory delight, combining the rich flavors of marinated beef with a spicy, aromatic sauce. Perfect for a hearty dinner or a special occasion, this dish is sure to impress!
