Black Pepper Beef Stir-Fry

Ingredients:

  • 300 grams beef, sliced thinly
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely sliced
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • Green bell pepper, sliced (amount as desired)
  • Coarsely ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 piece ginger, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 100 cc water

Steps:

  1. Prepare the Beef: Clean the beef thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels. In a mixing bowl, combine sesame oil, soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, oyster sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Toss the beef slices in this marinade until well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

  2. Cook the Beef: Heat a generous amount of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for approximately 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is fully cooked and slightly caramelized. Remove the beef from the pan and set it aside to drain on a dry paper towel.

  3. Sauté Aromatics: In the same pan, add a bit more oil if necessary. Sauté the sliced garlic and crushed ginger until they release a fragrant aroma.

  4. Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked beef to the pan. Add the oyster sauce and Worcestershire sauce to taste. Pour in the water and stir everything together until the sauce is evenly distributed.

  5. Add Vegetables: Finally, add the sliced green bell pepper and coarsely ground black pepper. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the vegetables to soften slightly but remain crisp.
