Cassava and Corned Beef Patties (Perkedel Singkong Kornet Sapi)

Ingredients:

  • Cassava (as needed), washed and boiled until tender
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 small can of corned beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 bunch green onions, finely sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cassava: Start by boiling the cassava until it becomes soft. Drain well and let it cool slightly.

  2. Mash the Cassava: Once the cassava is cool enough to handle, mash or crush it thoroughly until smooth.

  3. Prepare the Aromatics: Finely grind or mince the garlic and onion.

  4. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed cassava, sliced green onions, corned beef, and eggs. Add the ground garlic, onion, and salt. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  5. Season the Mixture: Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to your preference.

  6. Shape the Patties: Form the mixture into patties of your desired shape—either round or flat.
