- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- Red pepper, for garnish
Instructions
-
Preparation: Begin by boiling the rice in chicken bouillon until cooked. Once done, allow it to cool completely.
-
Chicken Preparation: Skin and debone the cooked chicken, then cut it into strips. If you prefer, you can also use pre-cooked chicken available at supermarkets.
-
Prepare Ingredients: Cut the cheese into small bite-size cubes and dice the smoked ham into small pieces. Clean and cook the shrimp, then chill them. If you’re using frozen peas, defrost them. Thoroughly wash and thinly slice the leek.
-
Make Chicken Mixture: In a large bowl, combine half of the chicken with mayonnaise, sour cream, curry powder, Dijon mustard, and sliced leek. Mix well and allow it to marinate overnight in the refrigerator, allowing the flavors to meld.

Layering: On the day of serving, begin by arranging the salad in successive layers. Start with a base of crisp iceberg lettuce, followed by a layer of cooked rice.
-
Chicken Mix: Spread a generous layer of the mayonnaise and chicken mixture over the rice.
-
Additional Layers: Top the chicken mixture with the chilled shrimp, peas, cubed ham, and cheese.
-
Final Touches: Complete the layers with the remaining strips of chicken.
