Soft and Fragrant Egg Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Filling:
- 500 grams ground chicken thigh
- 1 large egg
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Chinese five-spice powder
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons tapioca flour
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the Egg Roll Wrappers:
- 5 large eggs
- 100 ml water
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon tapioca flour

- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken thigh, egg, minced garlic, and Chinese five-spice powder. Mix thoroughly.
- Add the all-purpose flour, tapioca flour, cornstarch, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and black pepper. Stir until the mixture is well combined and smooth.

Prepare the Egg Roll Wrappers:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, water, all-purpose flour, and tapioca flour until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly grease the skillet if necessary.
- Pour a small amount of the egg mixture into the skillet, tilting it to spread the mixture evenly into a thin layer. Cook until the wrapper is set and lightly golden, about 1-2 minutes. Remove and set aside. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
