Rolade Corned Beef Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 can of corned beef (large)
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Milk, as needed
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- Margarine, for greasing
- Plastic wrap, for rolling
- 1 egg, beaten (for coating)
- Oil, for frying
Instructions:

-
Prepare the Batter:
- In a bowl, dissolve the flour in a small amount of milk to create a smooth mixture. Ensure the consistency is not too runny.
- Add the eggs, salt, and ground black pepper to the flour mixture. Whisk until well combined and smooth.
-
Cook the Omelets:
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with margarine.
- Pour half of the egg mixture into the skillet, spreading it out to form a large omelet. Cook until set, then slide onto a plate.
- Repeat with the remaining egg mixture to make a second large omelet.
-
Assemble the Rolade:
- Lay a piece of plastic wrap on a cutting board or clean surface.
- Place one omelet on the plastic wrap and spread the corned beef evenly over the top.
- Carefully roll the omelet using the plastic wrap to help shape it into a tight log. Ensure the roll is compact by pressing it gently.
- Seal the ends of the plastic wrap and place the roll in the freezer for 20 minutes to firm up.
-
Fry the Rolade:
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Remove the rolled omelet from the plastic wrap and slice it into pieces.
- Dip each piece into the beaten egg, then fry in the hot oil until golden brown and cooked through.
-
Serve:
- Drain the fried rolls on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot as a delicious appetizer or main course.
