Ingredients:
- 1 potato, diced
- 2 carrots, sliced diagonally
- 150 grams putren (tamarind leaves), sliced diagonally
- 150 grams ground beef
- 1/4 onion, chopped
- 6 cloves garlic, crushed and finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 60 ml water
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch, dissolved in a little water
- Salt to taste
- Sugar to taste
- Cooking oil
Instructions:
- Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Sautรฉ the chopped onion, garlic, and ground pepper until fragrant and softened.
- Add the ground beef to the pan. Stir well and cook until the beef changes color.
- Incorporate the diced potato, sliced carrots, and putren into the pan. Stir everything together to combine.
- Once the vegetables are partially cooked, pour in the water to help them cook through. Add the oyster sauce, sugar, and salt to taste. Stir well and let it simmer.
- When the vegetables are almost tender, add the dissolved cornstarch to the pan. Stir continuously until the mixture starts to bubble and thicken.
- Once the sauce has thickened and the vegetables are cooked to your liking, remove the pan from heat.
- Serve the dish warm, either on its own or with steamed rice. Enjoy the flavorful combination of tender beef, crisp vegetables, and savory sauce!
