- 6 shallots
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger
- 1 thumb-sized piece of turmeric
- 1 thumb-sized piece of galangal
- 1 teaspoon of ground pepper
- 1 tablespoon of coriander seeds
