Indonesian Chicken Gizzards and Hearts Stew
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken gizzards, cleaned, boiled, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 potato, peeled, cut into chunks, fried until golden
- 1 carrot, cut into long pieces
- 6 green beans, cut into long pieces
Spices:
- 2 cloves garlic
- 5 shallots
- 1 onion
- Cooking oil, for sautéing
- Water
- Salt, pepper, and powdered broth, to taste
- Sweet soy sauce, to taste
- A pinch of nutmeg
Instructions:

Thinly slice the garlic, shallots, and onion. Sauté them in a little cooking oil until golden brown.

Add the green beans and carrot, sauté briefly until slightly tender.

Pour in water until it covers the vegetables.

Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg, powdered broth, and sweet soy sauce according to your taste preference.

Add the boiled chicken gizzards, and fried potatoes.

Simmer over low heat until the spices are well absorbed and the sauce thickens.
