Korean Beef Bulgogi Recipe
Ingredients:
- 150 grams of thinly sliced beef
Marinade:
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced (original recipe suggests chopped)
- A pinch of salt (my addition)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 tablespoon sweet soy sauce (my addition)
Garnish:
- 1 stalk green onion, sliced
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions:
-
Marinate the Beef:
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, granulated sugar, water, minced garlic, salt, honey, sesame oil, ground black pepper, and sweet soy sauce. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. For best results, marinate for over 2 hours.
-
Cooking the Beef:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of margarine and 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef along with the marinade to the pan. Cook until the liquid reduces and the beef is fully cooked, stirring occasionally.
-
Serving:
- Transfer the cooked beef to a serving plate.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
Enjoy your delicious Korean Beef Bulgogi!
