Plus, any leftover dough can easily be transformed into zweibach or plain buns, ensuring nothing goes to waste. Best of all, they freeze beautifully, making them a convenient option for busy days.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup warm water
- 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 packages fast-rising yeast
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 5 eggs
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 12 tablespoons margarine
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions:

Prepare the Filling:
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet.
- In a separate saucepan over medium heat, melt 1/2 cup of margarine.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of flour until incorporated.
- Add dry onion soup mixes and water to create a thick gravy.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then pour it over the browned beef.
- Simmer the mixture for about 1 hour (this can be done in the oven).
- Just before forming the meat buns, add enough fine dry bread crumbs to bind the mixture together.

- In a Bosch mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast.
- Warm the milk, margarine, and lard in the microwave for 3-4 minutes until the margarine and lard have melted.
- Add the warmed milk mixture to the yeast mixture along with about 8 cups of flour.
- Allow the mixture to proof, then add salt, egg, and the remaining flour, kneading until a soft dough forms.

- Transfer the dough to a large bowl and let it rise for 10-15 minutes.

Form the Perisky:
- Pinch off pieces of dough the size of a walnut.
- Flatten the dough in the palm of your hand and place about 1 teaspoon of filling on it.
- Pinch the dough around the filling to seal it well.

- Bake at 400ยฐF for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
