Negi Gyudon: Beef Bowl Topped with Green Onions

Ingredients:

  • 150 grams thinly sliced beef
  • 1 stalk green onion
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (Shoyu or Kikkoman)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Green Onions: Cut the green onion into segments about 2 cm in length.

  2. Arrange the Ingredients: Place the green onion pieces in the center of a small frying pan. Arrange the sliced beef around the green onion in the pan.

  3. Add Seasonings: Pour the soy sauce over the beef and green onions. Sprinkle the sugar evenly and add the water.

  4. Cook the Dish: Cover the pan with a lid and turn the heat to low-medium. Allow the mixture to heat for approximately 5 minutes.

  5. Serve: After 5 minutes, turn off the heat and remove the lid. Carefully lift the beef and green onions from the pan and transfer them to a serving dish.
