Ingredient Quantity
Patin fish fillet 250 grams
Garlic cloves 5 cloves
Pepper, seasoning, and salt To taste
White bread 5-7 slices
Chicken eggs 3 eggs
Large wax paper or plastic bag As needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mixture: In a blender, combine the patin fish fillet, white bread, and garlic cloves. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

  2. Season: Transfer the blended mixture to a bowl and season with pepper, seasoning, and salt according to your taste preferences.

  3. Add Eggs: Crack in the eggs and mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  4. Pack the Mixture: Spoon the fish mixture into a large wax paper or plastic bag. Securely tie the end of the bag and make several small punctures with a fork to allow steam to escape.

  5. Cook: Bring a pot of water to a boil and gently place the bag into the boiling water. Cook until the galantin rises to the surface, indicating it’s done.

  6. Cool and Serve: Remove the galantin from the water and let it cool completely. Once cooled, slice into portions and pan-fry until golden brown. Enjoy your delicious galantin!

This delectable dish can be served as an appetizer or a main course, bringing a taste of Indonesian cuisine to your table!
