Ingredients:
- 1 sweet Italian sausage link
- 16 oz rigatoni pasta
- 16 oz pasta shells
- 16 oz ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese or romano
- 1/2 cup pasta sauce
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Pan brown sausage until tender, drain, and cool, then crumble coarsely.

Cook pasta until just tender, about 2 minutes less than package directions.

Drain, rinse in cold water, and rinse again to stop the cooking process.

In a large bowl, combine sausage, ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup grated parmesan or romano cheese, and 1/2 cup pasta sauce. Mix well.

Add the drained pasta to the mixture and mix until evenly combined.

Cover the bottom of a large baking pan or casserole dish with a layer of pasta sauce.

Spread a third of the pasta mixture over the sauce layer and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used, ending with a layer of mozzarella cheese and grated parmesan or romano cheese on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese on top is light brown and bubbling.
