Ingredients:

Quantity Ingredient
1 Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 garlic cloves
2 garlic
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 onions
2 cups ketchup
2 tablespoons butter

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine Worcestershire sauce, cider vinegar, minced garlic cloves, minced garlic, dry mustard, chili powder, and cayenne pepper.

  2. Reserve 1/2 cup of the mixture for the sauce later.

  3. If using chuck roast, trim excess fat.

  4. Place the meat and onions into a 4-quart crock pot or Dutch oven.

  5. Pour the liquid mixture over the meat.

  6. For crock pot cooking: Cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours until the meat is tender and easily shredded.

  7. For Dutch oven cooking: Cover and cook in a preheated oven at 325°F (163°C) for 3 hours, until the meat is tender.

  8. Once the meat is cooked, remove it from the liquid and shred it using forks.

  9. For the sauce: In a saucepan, combine the reserved liquid mixture, ketchup, and butter. Heat until the butter melts, creating a rich and flavorful sauce.

  10. Serve the shredded meat with the sauce drizzled on top, or on the side for dipping.

  11. Any leftover sauce can be stored in the fridge and reheated to serve alongside the meat.
