Angsio Tofu ala Indah

Ingredients

  • 2 packs Egg Tofu, sliced into 1cm thick pieces
  • 1 carrot, sliced diagonally
  • 3 meatballs, thinly sliced
  • 50 grams wood ear mushrooms, coarsely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 100 ml water
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch, dissolved in a bit of water for thickening
  • 3 tablespoons oil for sautéing

Steps

  1. Fry the Tofu: Heat oil in a pan and fry the tofu slices until they are golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Garlic and Vegetables: In the same pan, add the chopped garlic and sauté until fragrant. Then add the sliced meatballs, carrots, and wood ear mushrooms. Continue to sauté until the meatballs are cooked through.
  3. Combine and Season: Add the fried tofu back into the pan along with the salt, pepper, sugar, and oyster sauce. Pour in the water and stir everything together. Let it cook for about 3 minutes.
  4. Thicken the Sauce: Stir in the cornstarch slurry and mix well until the sauce thickens. Once the sauce has reached your desired consistency, turn off the heat.
  5. Serve: Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy your Angsio Tofu ala Indah.
