Orak Arik Telur Sayur (Stir-Fried Eggs with Vegetables)

Ingredients

Ingredient Amount
Chicken eggs 3 large
Bean sprouts 50 grams
Carrot (julienned) 1 medium
Green onion 1 stalk
Seasoning
Garlic (crushed) 3 cloves
Ground pepper 1 tsp
Oyster sauce 2 tbsp
Sweet soy sauce 2 tbsp
Sugar, salt, and seasoning to taste
Butter 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Start by cracking the eggs into a bowl and whisking them lightly. Set aside. Prepare the vegetables by julienning the carrot and chopping the green onion.

  2. Sauté Aromatics: In a skillet, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the crushed garlic and sauté until fragrant.

  3. Cook the Eggs: Pour the beaten eggs into the skillet, allowing them to scramble gently. As the eggs start to set, add the julienned carrot. Stir-fry until the carrot is tender but still crisp.

  4. Add Vegetables: Introduce the bean sprouts and chopped green onion into the skillet. Stir to combine, and pour in a small amount of water (about 1 tablespoon) to help steam the vegetables slightly. Allow it to cook until the water has mostly evaporated.

  5. Season the Dish: Drizzle the oyster sauce and sweet soy sauce over the mixture. Add the ground pepper, sugar, salt, and any additional seasoning you prefer. Stir well to ensure the flavors meld and adjust the seasoning to your taste.

  6. Serve: Once everything is well combined and heated through, remove from heat. Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy your Orak Arik Telur Sayur warm!

This delightful dish combines the protein of eggs with the freshness of vegetables, making it a nutritious and satisfying option for any meal.
