Simple Stir-Fried Mustard Greens with Tofu

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch mustard greens (washed and chopped)
  • Tofu (amount to taste, cubed)
  • 1 sachet oyster sauce (Saori brand or equivalent)
  • 3 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
  • 4 shallots (thinly sliced)
  • 1 small tomato (diced)
  • 1 large chili pepper (sliced diagonally)
  • 8 bird’s eye chilies (adjust to taste for spiciness)
  • Seasoning powder (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Sugar (to taste)
  • Ladaku seasoning (to taste)
  • A small amount of oil (for sautéing)

Instructions:

  1. Begin by washing the mustard greens thoroughly. Chop them into bite-sized pieces. Similarly, cut the tofu into cubes according to your preference.

  2. Thinly slice the garlic, shallots, and chili peppers. Dice the tomato into small pieces.

  3. Heat a small amount of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic, shallots, tomato, and chili peppers to the pan. Sauté until the mixture becomes fragrant and the vegetables soften.

  4. Add the chopped mustard greens and tofu to the pan. Stir well to combine with the aromatic base.

  5. Pour in the oyster sauce, then season with seasoning powder, salt, sugar, and Ladaku seasoning according to your taste preferences.

  6. Stir everything together to ensure the ingredients are well-coated with the sauce and seasonings. Continue to cook for a few minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to be absorbed by the vegetables and tofu.

  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Once the mustard greens are tender and the tofu is heated through, remove from heat.

  8. Serve the stir-fried mustard greens and tofu hot. Enjoy this simple and flavorful dish! 👌
