  1. Prepare Ingredients:

    • Slice the garlic and shallots. Chop the green onion and tomato. Cut the fried tofu into bite-sized pieces. Set all ingredients aside.
  2. Heat the Oil:

    • In a large skillet or wok, heat a generous amount of cooking oil over medium heat.
  3. Sauté Aromatics:

    • Add the sliced shallots and chopped garlic to the hot oil. Sauté until they become fragrant and golden brown.
  4. Cook the Petai:

    • Add the petai to the skillet and stir-fry for a few minutes until they release their aroma.
  5. Scramble the Egg:

    • Push the petai to one side of the skillet, crack the egg into the empty space, and scramble it until cooked through. Mix the scrambled egg with the petai.
  6. Add Tofu and Seasonings:

    • Incorporate the chopped tofu into the skillet. Pour in the sweet soy sauce, oyster sauce, and chicken bouillon powder. Stir well to coat all ingredients evenly.
  7. Add Liquid and Simmer:

    • Add a splash of water to the skillet to create a slight sauce. Stir and let it simmer for a few minutes until the flavors meld together.
  8. Finish with Vegetables:

    • Add the chopped green onion and tomato to the skillet. Stir well and cook for an additional minute. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  9. Serve:
