Tumis Jamur Tahu (Stir-Fried Mushrooms and Tofu)

Ingredients

Oyster mushrooms 200 grams
Tofu 5 pieces (cubed)
Large chili peppers (sliced) 2 pieces
Shallots (sliced) 3 cloves
Garlic (sliced) 2 cloves
Oyster sauce 1 tablespoon
Salt To taste

Sugar To taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mushrooms: Trim the ends of the oyster mushrooms, then tear them into pieces using your hands. Rinse thoroughly under cold water to ensure they are clean.

  2. Prepare the Tofu: Rinse the cubed tofu and fry in hot oil until golden and slightly firm, about halfway cooked. Remove from heat and drain on paper towels.

  3. Sauté the Aromatics: In a large pan, heat a bit of oil over medium heat and sauté the sliced shallots and garlic until they are fragrant and translucent.

  4. Combine Ingredients: Add the oyster sauce to the pan, stirring well to combine. Then, introduce the mushrooms and tofu, sautéing until everything is heated through and the mushrooms are tender. Avoid adding water, as the mushrooms will release their moisture during cooking.
