Sayur Tauge with Cooked Tofu

Ingredients

Tauge (bean sprouts) 1 pack
Cooked brown tofu 6 pieces
Spices
Red shallots 4 cloves
Garlic 3 cloves
Bird’s eye chilies 3 pieces
Large red chili 1 piece
Salt To taste
Sugar To taste
Seasoning (optional) To taste
Ground pepper To taste
Raja Rasa sauce To taste
Sweet soy sauce To taste
Celery leaves For garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the tauge thoroughly and set aside.
  2. Slice the cooked brown tofu into bite-sized pieces according to your preference.
  3. Finely chop the red shallots, garlic, and chilies.
  4. In a pan, heat oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped spices until fragrant.
  5. Add a splash of water to the pan to create a sauce base.
  6. Incorporate salt, sugar, sweet soy sauce, ground pepper, seasoning, and Raja Rasa sauce, adjusting to taste.
  7. Gently fold in the tauge and tofu, ensuring they are well-coated with the sauce.
  8. Add additional water as desired for consistency and let it simmer until boiling.
  9. Once boiling, add the celery leaves and give it a final taste test, adjusting seasoning if necessary.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy this delightful Sayur Tauge with Cooked Tofu!
