Tempe Teriyaki Recipe

Ingredients

Tempe 1 block
Sweet Corn 1 cob
Onion ½ medium, chopped
Garlic 2 cloves, minced
Ginger 1 cm, minced
Green Onion To taste
Sesame Seeds To taste (optional)

For the Sauce

Ingredient Quantity
Soy Sauce 5 tablespoons
Sweet Soy Sauce 2-3 tablespoons
Honey 2 tablespoons
Oyster Sauce 1 tablespoon (optional)
Granulated Sugar 1 tablespoon
Salt and Pepper To taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tempe: Cut the tempe into desired sizes and fry until it is halfway cooked (note: the original recipe does not require frying).
  2. Prepare the Corn: Remove the kernels from the sweet corn cob that has been washed and set aside.
  3. Sauté Aromatics: In a pan, sauté the minced garlic, ginger, and chopped onion until they are soft and fragrant.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Add the tempe, sweet corn, and sauce ingredients to the pan. Add a splash of water to help the flavors meld.
  5. Cook Together: Allow the mixture to cook until the tempe is fully cooked and the sauce has absorbed into the ingredients.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your Tempe Teriyaki!
