Tahu (Tofu) 200g (diced)
Bumbu (Spice Mix):
– Bawang Merah (Shallots) 2 cloves (sliced)

– Cabe Merah Besar (Red Chili) 1 (sliced)
– Cabe Rawit (Bird’s Eye Chili) 2 (sliced)
– Daun Salam (Bay Leaves) 2 leaves
– Garam (Salt) to taste
– Gula Merah (Palm Sugar) 1 tbsp
– Kecap Manis (Sweet Soy Sauce) 2 tbsp
– Air Asam Jawa (Tamarind Water) 1 tsp (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preparation of Tofu and Tempeh:
    Cut the tempeh and tofu into bite-sized cubes and soak them in a mixture of water, garlic, and salt for about 15 minutes. This helps infuse flavor.

  2. Frying:
    Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the soaked tempeh and tofu until they are golden brown but not overly crispy. Remove them from the pan and set aside.
