						| Ingredient | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Tempeh | 1 block |
| Garlic | 1 clove |
| Shallots | 1 clove |
| Chili peppers | To taste |
| Sweet soy sauce | To taste |
| Salt | To taste |
| Seasoning (like chicken bouillon) | To taste |
| Water | As needed |
Instructions
- Prepare the Tempeh: Cut the tempeh into bite-sized pieces and fry until they are half-cooked. Set aside and let them drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Chop the Aromatics: While the tempeh is frying, slice the garlic, shallots, and chili peppers to your desired size. These will form the flavorful base of your dish.
- Sauté the Aromatics: In the same pan you used for the tempeh, sauté the garlic, shallots, and chili peppers until fragrant and lightly golden.
- Combine and Season: Add the fried tempeh back into the pan. Stir in sweet soy sauce, salt, seasoning (like chicken bouillon), and enough water to create a flavorful broth. Stir well, adjusting the seasoning to taste.
- Simmer and Serve: Let the stew simmer until it reaches your preferred consistency, allowing the flavors to blend. Once done, remove from heat and serve hot.
Optional: For added texture and flavor, you can top the dish with thinly sliced scrambled eggs for a more filling meal.
Enjoy this simple yet satisfying tempeh stew!
