Tahu Kentang Sayur Maknyuss

Garlic 3 cloves
Shallots 4 cloves
Chili 1 piece
All-purpose flour 3 tablespoons
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
Pepper to taste
Masako (seasoning) to taste
Sajiku (coating mix) as needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Begin by steaming the potatoes until soft. Once cooked, peel and set aside.

  2. Chop the Vegetables: Finely chop the carrot, celery leaves, and green onion, ensuring they are small enough to blend well with the other ingredients.

  3. Make the Spice Paste: Peel the garlic and shallots, then place them in a mortar and pestle (or a food processor). Grind them into a fine paste along with the chili, pepper, salt, and sugar.

  4. Combine the Ingredients: Add the steamed and peeled potatoes into the mortar with the spice paste and mash until smooth. Incorporate the washed tofu, continuing to mash until well blended.

  5. Add the Vegetables: Mix in the chopped carrot, celery, green onion, and a dash of Masako for flavor. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.

  6. Thicken the Mixture: Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the mixture, kneading until it holds together. Shape the mixture into small, flat patties.

  7. Coat and Fry: Before frying, dust each patty with Sajiku to prevent sticking. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the patties until golden brown and crispy on both sides.

  8. Serve: Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve hot as a delicious appetizer or side dish.
