Lengkuas (galangal) | A few slices, bruised |

– Cabe keriting (chili) | 3 pieces |
– Ketumbar (coriander) | 1 tsp |
– Bawang putih (garlic) | 1 clove |
– Bawang merah (shallots) | 2 cloves |
– Kunyit (turmeric) | 1/2 finger size |
– Garam (salt) | 1 tsp |
– Kemiri (candlenuts) | 2 pieces |

Prepare the Ingredients: Cut the tofu and tempe into triangular pieces.

Make the Spice Paste: In a mortar and pestle, grind together the chili, coriander, garlic, shallots, turmeric, salt, and candlenuts until you achieve a smooth paste.
