Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets of instant puff pastry (I used Edo brand), each cut into 4 squares
  • 1 can of tuna, drained
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon margarine, for sautéing
  • 1 egg (white for sealing, yolk for brushing)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Sugar, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Additional dried parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Filling:

    • In a skillet, heat the margarine over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until they become fragrant and translucent.
  2. Cook the Tuna:

    • Add the drained tuna to the skillet, followed by dried parsley, salt, sugar, and black pepper. Stir well to combine, allowing the mixture to cook for a few minutes until heated through. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Assemble the Pastries:

    • Take one of the puff pastry squares and place a generous spoonful of the tuna mixture in the center. Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling to create a sealed pocket. Use a brush to apply the egg white along the edges to help seal the pastry.
