Tumis Tuna Sausage with Oyster Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 100 grams of tuna sausage, sliced as desired
  • 5 cloves garlic, peeled, cleaned, and finely sliced
  • 1 onion, peeled, cleaned, and coarsely chopped
  • 2 green onions, cleaned, trimmed, and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch, dissolved in 100 ml water
  • Salt, to taste
  • Sugar, to taste
  • Cooking oil and sesame oil, for sautΓ©ing

Steps:

  1. Prepare the Aromatics: Heat a combination of cooking oil and sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the garlic, chopped onion, and green onions. SautΓ© until the garlic is fragrant and the onions are softened and translucent.

  2. Cook the Sausage: Add the sliced tuna sausage to the pan. Continue to sautΓ© until the sausage is cooked through and slightly caramelized.

  5. Season to Taste: Adjust the seasoning by adding salt and sugar as needed. Stir well and let the flavors meld for a few minutes.

  6. Final Touches: Once the sauce has thickened and the seasoning is adjusted to your liking, turn off the heat.

  7. Serve: This dish pairs wonderfully with fried chicken, braised tofu, or crispy mendoan. It’s perfect for a simple and satisfying dinner.
