Teriyaki Beef Recipe
Ingredients:
- 200 grams of lean beef (cut into cubes, as desired)
- Salt to taste
- Garlic powder to taste
- Knorr seasoning (optional)
- Sesame oil to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 onion (adjust according to preference, as this amount is to taste)
- 1 tablespoon Blue Band or similar margarine
- Olive oil or vegetable oil as needed
- Sesame seeds, to taste
- Teriyaki sauce (I used Tai Hua brand, but you can choose your preferred brand)
Steps:
-
Marinate the Beef: Place the cubed beef in a bowl. Season with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, Knorr seasoning (if using), and a splash of sesame oil. Mix well to coat the beef evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.
-
Cook the Aromatics: Heat a mixture of olive oil and a small amount of margarine in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant but not browned.
-
Brown the Beef: Add the marinated beef to the pan. Cook, stirring frequently, until the beef is browned.
-
Add Teriyaki Sauce: Pour in the teriyaki sauce and stir to coat the beef. Cover the pan and let it simmer for about 3 minutes on medium heat to prevent burning.
-
Incorporate Onion: Open the lid, add the chopped onion, and stir well. Cover again and cook on medium heat. Add a small amount of water (about 5 tablespoons) to adjust the consistency if the sauce becomes too thick.
-
Finish the Dish: Once the beef is cooked through and the sauce has thickened to your liking, stir in the sesame seeds. Mix well until the sesame seeds are evenly distributed. For a decorative touch, sprinkle additional sesame seeds on top of the dish before serving.
Serve the teriyaki beef hot, garnished with extra sesame seeds for an appealing presentation. Enjoy your delicious meal!
