Description:
As the holiday season approaches, it’s time to plan the perfect dishes for Christmas and New Year parties! One popular choice is deviled eggs, a dish that’s widely enjoyed in Europe and the United States. Today’s twist on this classic recipe introduces a delicious variation: Shrimp Deviled Eggs. Also known as stuffed eggs or angel eggs, this recipe adds a savory seafood touch that’s perfect for any festive occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 4 whole eggs (hard-boiled, peeled, and halved)
  • 4 spring onions (bulb & greens, finely chopped)
  • 10 shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tablespoons classic mayonnaise (with egg)
  • 2 tablespoons English mustard sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Spring onion greens (few, for garnish)
  • Salt, to taste

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 35 minutes
Servings: 4

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped spring onion whites and sauté for 2 minutes until they turn pinkish.
  2. Add shrimp to the skillet, tossing until they are fully cooked. Sprinkle with garlic powder, and continue tossing. Let the shrimp mixture cool down for about 10 minutes.
  3. Once cooled, mince the shrimp or chop into very small pieces.
  4. Meanwhile, scoop out the yolks from the hard-boiled eggs and place them in a mixing bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork until smooth.
  5. Add mayonnaise, mustard sauce, garlic powder, black pepper powder, and salt to the mashed yolks. Mix thoroughly until combined.
  6. Add the shrimp and onion mixture to the yolk mixture, stirring to combine. Keep a few shrimp pieces aside for garnishing.
  7. Transfer the egg yolk and shrimp mixture into a piping bag or a plastic bag with the corner cut off. Carefully pipe the filling into the hollowed-out egg whites.
  8. Garnish the deviled eggs with the reserved shrimp pieces and a sprinkle of spring onion greens.
  9. These Shrimp Deviled Eggs can be served cold as an appetizer or starter. They pair perfectly with dishes like Pizza Margherita for a festive card party.

Enjoy this flavorful and easy-to-make dish at your holiday gatherings!
