Kangkung Cah Sapi Recipe: A Flavorful Stir-Fried Water Spinach with Beef

Ingredients:

  • 4 bunches of kangkung (water spinach), cleaned and trimmed
  • 100 grams of beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch, dissolved in 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 red chilies, sliced
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • Cooking oil, as needed

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Begin by gathering and preparing all the ingredients. Clean and trim the kangkung, slice the beef thinly, and mince the garlic. Slice the red chilies and chop the tomato.

  2. Sauté the Aromatics: Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sliced red chilies. Stir-fry until the garlic becomes fragrant and the chilies begin to soften.

  3. Cook the Beef: Add the sliced beef to the wok. Stir-fry until the beef changes color and is cooked through.

  4. Add the Tomato: Incorporate the chopped tomato into the mixture. Stir well and allow it to cook for a couple of minutes, until the tomato starts to soften.
