Description:
Reminiscent of my first, mind-blowing experience with BBQ shrimp at Grover’s Oyster Bar, a dusty-floored little shack on Irving Park Road in Chicago. This recipe pays homage to the flavors that left an indelible mark on my taste buds. Picture this: after a Cubs baseball game, stopping by Grover’s for a couple of raspberry daiquiris (the best!) and some seafood. The first bite of BBQ shrimp was an explosion of flavor that I couldn’t believe. Sadly, on a later trip into the city, I found only a burned-out shell where Grover’s once stood. So, R.I.P. Grover’s, you were truly wonderful. This recipe is dedicated to you! The prep time includes marinating, infusing every shrimp with savory goodness.
