Ingredients:

  • 75 grams chicken breast fillet, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Onion, diced (as needed)
  • Bell pepper, diced (1 piece)
  • Red chili pepper, sliced (as needed)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mushroom soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Sugar, to taste
  • Seasoning powder, to taste
  • Cornstarch slurry (for thickening)

Steps:

  1. Marinate the chicken breast fillet with salt, black pepper, and seasoning powder for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken until cooked but not too crispy. Drain and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add diced onions, bell peppers, and red chili peppers.
  4. Pour in a bit of water and add oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, mushroom soy sauce, and tomato sauce. Adjust seasoning according to taste.
  5. Once the flavors meld together, thicken the sauce with cornstarch slurry.
  6. Add the cooked chicken back into the pan. Drizzle with sesame oil and toss everything together until well combined.
  7. Serve immediately, ensuring the ingredients are cooked quickly to retain their freshness.
