Ingredients:

1 Rump roast, sliced
1 Salt
1/2 Pepper
2 1/2 Garlic cloves, minced
1 Sugar
1/4 Black pepper
1 Garlic clove, minced
4 Fish sauce
1 Soy sauce
1/4 Broccoli florets
2 Carrots, sliced
1/4 Mushrooms, sliced
4-5 Bamboo shoots, sliced
1/4 Snow peas
1/2 Celery, sliced
1 Onion, sliced
2-3 Napa cabbage leaves
Oyster sauce
Cooked rice

Instructions:

  1. Place sliced beef in a small bowl.
  2. Add a dash of salt, a dash of pepper, and 1/2 tsp of minced garlic to the beef.
  3. Refrigerate for 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. In another bowl, combine sugar, black pepper, minced garlic, fish sauce, and soy sauce. Set aside.
  5. Heat a skillet or wok over high heat.
  6. Stir-fry the marinated beef until cooked throughout.
  7. Add broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, snow peas, and celery to the skillet.
  8. Stir and shake the pan constantly for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables just start to become aromatic.
  9. Blend in the fish sauce mixture for an extra burst of flavor.
  10. Add sliced onion, napa cabbage leaves, and a splash of oyster sauce to the skillet.
  11. Continue to stir-fry for approximately 1 minute or until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
  12. Serve the delicious Beef Chow Mein over hot cooked rice.
