Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
  • 3 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 3 cups corn cereal
  • 3 cups mixed nuts (such as peanuts, almonds, cashews)

Instructions:

Step Description
1 In a double boiler, melt white chocolate and shortening. Stir occasionally until smooth.
2 While the chocolate is melting, combine all the cereal and nuts in a very large bowl.
3 Once the chocolate is melted and smooth, pour it over the cereal and nuts mixture. Gently stir until all pieces are evenly coated.
4 Scoop the mixture onto large cookie sheets or jelly roll pans, spreading it out evenly to set.
5 Allow the white chocolate to harden completely. This usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour at room temperature.
6 Once hardened, break the mixture into bite-sized pieces.
7 Store in a large airtight container or Ziploc-type bags.
