Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Strawberries: Start by washing and thoroughly drying the strawberries. Remove the stems and slice the berries into small pieces. Set them aside to let any excess moisture evaporate.

  2. Prepare the Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add the softened butter (cut into small pieces), brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Using electric beaters, beat the mixture for about two minutes until it becomes smooth and creamy.

  3. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Crack the egg into the bowl and add the seeds from half of the vanilla bean pod. Continue to beat the mixture until the egg and vanilla are fully incorporated.
