Sautéed Red Onions with Anchovies and Egg (Tumis Bawang Teri Telur)


Ingredients:

  • 200 grams red onions
  • 2 red chili peppers
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 grams Medan anchovies
  • Sugar, salt, and seasoning to taste
  • Cooking oil

Instructions:

  1. Begin by peeling the red onions, washing them thoroughly, and cutting them into quarters. Set aside.

  2. Slice the red chili peppers into thin rings.

  3. Prepare a scrambled egg mixture and set it aside once cooked.

  4. Clean the Medan anchovies, then fry them in hot oil until crispy. Drain and set aside.

  5. In a large skillet, heat some cooking oil over medium heat. Add the red onions and sauté until they become translucent and softened.

  6. Add the sliced red chili peppers to the skillet and continue to sauté for another minute.

  7. Season the mixture with sugar, salt, and your preferred seasoning to taste.

  8. Incorporate the scrambled eggs and fried anchovies into the skillet. Stir everything together and adjust the seasoning as needed.
