Ingredients:

  • 250g all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 red chili pepper, chopped
  • 50g green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 2-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Directions:

Step Instructions
1 Begin by making the masala paste. In a grinder, combine the green onions, red chili pepper, green chilies, garam masala, ginger, and coriander leaves. Grind into a smooth paste.
2 In a mixing bowl, add the all-purpose flour (maida) and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
3 Gradually add the masala paste to the flour mixture. Knead the dough, adding water as needed, until it comes together into a smooth and pliable consistency.
4 Divide the dough into 20-25 equal-sized balls.
5 Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
6 Roll out each ball into a small circle to form puris.
7 Carefully place the puris into the hot oil and fry until they puff up and turn golden brown on both sides.
8 Remove the puris from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain excess oil on paper towels.
9 Serve the Bedmi Puris hot with Dum Aloo or your favorite side dish. Enjoy the crispy and flavorful goodness!
