Stir-Fried Beef Skin with Long Beans Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch of long beans, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 bowl of beef skin, cut into small pieces (approx. 1 cup)
  • 4 glasses of drinking water
  • 3 cloves of garlic, finely ground
  • 4 shallots, finely ground
  • 6 bird’s eye chilies, or to taste, finely ground
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 kaffir lime leaves, thinly sliced
  • 2 small tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 pack of beef-flavored seasoning (Masako)
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sweet soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking oil

Instructions:

  1. Heat the Oil: In a large pan, heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil over medium heat.

  2. Sauté Aromatics: Add the finely ground garlic, shallots, and bird’s eye chilies to the pan. Sauté until fragrant. Then, add the sliced onion and bay leaves, continuing to cook until the onion becomes translucent.

  3. Add Long Beans: Stir in the long beans and cook for a couple of minutes until they begin to soften.

  4. Incorporate Beef Skin: Add the beef skin pieces to the pan. Stir to combine with the long beans.

  5. Season the Dish: Add the sliced kaffir lime leaves, Worcestershire sauce, sweet soy sauce, soy sauce, and salt. Mix well to ensure the beef skin and long beans are evenly coated with the seasonings.

  6. Add Water: Pour in the 4 glasses of drinking water. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle boil.

  7. Simmer: Cover the pan and let it simmer for about 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  8. Add Tomatoes: Incorporate the sliced tomatoes into the pan. Stir and adjust the seasoning to taste.

  9. Final Touches: Continue cooking until the long beans are tender and the beef skin is well-cooked.

  10. Serve: Once everything is cooked through and the flavors are balanced, remove from heat. Serve hot and enjoy this flavorful stir-fried beef skin with long beans!

Enjoy this delightful dish with steamed rice for a complete meal.
