Stir-Fried Cauliflower with Egg Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely sliced
  • 3 shallots, thinly sliced
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • Green onions, sliced (as needed)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Thinly slice the shallots and garlic. Slice the red chili and dice the tomato. Cut the green onions into diagonal slices. Cut the cauliflower into small florets.

  2. Sauté Aromatics: In a hot pan, heat a little oil and sauté the garlic and shallots until they become fragrant and translucent.

  3. Add Vegetables: Add the sliced red chili and diced tomato to the pan. Stir well and let them cook for a few minutes until they start to soften.

  4. Cook Cauliflower: Add the cauliflower florets to the pan and stir-fry for a few minutes. Add a splash of water to help the cauliflower cook and become slightly tender.

  5. Incorporate Egg: Once the cauliflower starts to soften, crack the egg into the pan. Allow it to sit for a moment, then stir gently to scramble and combine with the vegetables.

  6. Season: Add the fish sauce, sugar, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Stir well to ensure all the flavors are evenly distributed. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

  7. Finish and Serve: Stir in the sliced green onions and cook for an additional minute. Remove from heat and serve hot.
