Cold Remedy Tea 🍵

Description: A spicy light brew that is light on the tea and heavier on the spice, although if you like more tea you can add that. I have made this with lemon juice instead of lime juice as well. It is easy to play around with.

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Spices: If desired, place black peppercorns into a tea ball (if you don’t want to strain it later).

  2. Boil Water: In a kettle, place the teaball with peppercorns or simply the spices along with the water. Bring it to a boil.

  3. Simmer: Once boiling, lower the heat and let it simmer for 15 minutes to infuse the water with the spices.

  4. Add Tea: Add the black tea bags into the kettle (using another tea ball if desired). Also, add honey and lime juice into the mixture. Stir well to dissolve the honey.

  5. Steep: Allow the mixture to steep for 10 minutes. Be careful not to steep for more than that to avoid bitterness.

  6. Serve: Serve the tea hot. Optionally, provide additional sugar for those who prefer a sweeter taste.

This Cold Remedy Tea is not only a comforting drink but also a natural remedy to help alleviate cold symptoms. Its spicy warmth and citrusy tang make it a soothing elixir during chilly days or when you’re feeling under the weather. Enjoy the benefits of this homemade concoction and stay cozy!
