Daging – Spicy Beef and Liver Delight
Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg lean beef
- 1/4 kg beef liver
- 250 cc coconut milk
- Ground Spice Blend:
- 10 shallots
- 7 cloves garlic
- Small chilies (optional)
- Sliced Ingredients:
- 5 cloves garlic
- 5 shallots
- 4 large red chilies, sliced diagonally
- 7 bird’s eye chilies (to taste)
Instructions:

Prepare the Fried Ingredients: Begin by frying the sliced shallots, garlic, and chilies until they are half crispy. Drain and set them aside for later use.

Prepare the Meat: Cut the beef and beef liver into 1-2 cm cubes. Rinse thoroughly.

Cook the Spices and Meat: In a pan, heat a little oil and toast the ground spice blend until fragrant. Add the diced beef and liver, and pour in some water. Cook until the meat is tender and fully cooked.

Add Coconut Milk: Once the meat is tender, add the coconut milk to the pan. Continue cooking until the sauce thickens and the flavors meld together.

Season and Finish: Adjust the seasoning with salt to taste. When the sauce has thickened to your liking, incorporate the previously fried shallots, garlic, and chilies. Cook for a few more minutes to allow the flavors to combine.
