Spicy Stuffed Tofu: Simple and Easy Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 blocks of tofu (cut each block into 3 pieces and fry until dry)
- 3 carrots, coarsely grated
- 1.5 ounces bean sprouts
- 1 ounce bird’s eye chilies (adjust to taste)
- 50 ml water
- 5 tablespoons seasoned flour
Seasonings:

- 1 large onion
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground pepper
- Salt to taste
- Sugar to taste
Instructions:

Prepare the Tofu:
- Take the fried tofu pieces and scoop out the insides. Set aside the tofu shells and the scooped-out tofu in separate bowls.

Sauté the Aromatics:
- Thinly slice the onion and garlic. Slice the bird’s eye chilies diagonally.
- In a pan, sauté the onions, garlic, and chilies until they become fragrant and wilted.

Cook the Filling:
- Add the grated carrots, bean sprouts, and the scooped-out tofu to the pan. Mix well to combine the ingredients.
- Pour in 50 ml of water to help the vegetables soften quickly.
- Season with ground pepper, salt, and sugar. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
- Cook the mixture for a few minutes until the vegetables are tender. Set aside to cool slightly.

Stuff the Tofu:
- Take the tofu shells and fill them generously with the cooked vegetable mixture. Repeat until all tofu shells are filled.

Coat the Tofu:
- Prepare a batter by mixing the seasoned flour with water to achieve a semi-thick consistency.
- Dip each stuffed tofu piece into the batter, ensuring all sides are well-coated.

Fry the Tofu:
- Heat a generous amount of oil in a frying pan until hot.
- Fry the stuffed tofu pieces over medium heat until golden brown and crispy, turning only once to avoid excessive oil absorption.

Serve:
- Once fried, drain the tofu on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Enjoy your spicy stuffed tofu as a delicious appetizer or snack.
Notes:
- Adjust the amount of bird’s eye chilies according to your spice preference.
- Ensure the batter consistency is not too thick or too thin for the best coating results.
- Frying over medium heat helps prevent the tofu from burning and ensures even cooking.
