Preparation Steps

  1. Cooking the Baby Corn
Begin by tossing the baby corn in corn flour, adding a pinch of salt and black pepper for flavor. Heat a teaspoon of oil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Once the oil is hot, add the corn flour-coated baby corn and stir-fry over low to medium heat. Cover the pan and let it cook for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The corn should be tender yet firm, ensuring it doesn’t become mushy.

  2. Stir-Frying the Vegetables
In a separate wok or stir-fry pan, heat a tablespoon of oil on high heat. Add the sliced bell peppers, chopped green chillies, and spring onion bulbs. Stir-fry until the bell peppers are tender but still crisp.

  3. Combining Ingredients
Once the vegetables are ready, add the previously cooked baby corn along with the red chilli sauce, sweet and spicy sauce, and dark soy sauce. Stir-fry for an additional 3 to 4 minutes, ensuring the baby corn is evenly coated with the sauce.

  4. Serving Suggestions
Serve the Chilli Baby Corn (Manchurian) hot as a main dish alongside Vegetable Hakka Noodles, or as an appetizer. Pair it with tomato sauce, sweet and spicy tomato chutney, or green chilli sauce for an extra kick. This dish can also complement other favorites like Chicken Manchurian Dry.

Enjoy this flavorful Chilli Baby Corn (Manchurian) as a delightful addition to your culinary repertoire, perfect for impressing guests or treating yourself to a savory snack!
