Ingredients

  • 1 package of Indomie Kari Ayam (250 grams)
  • 250 grams chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 chicken sausage, sliced
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 bird’s eye chilies (adjust to taste)
  • 1 bunch scallions, sliced thinly
  • 1 cup Chinese cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup bok choy, sliced into 5 cm pieces
  • 3 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste, using Bon Cabe level 30)
  • Salt and sugar, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: Heat a little oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, and bird’s eye chilies until fragrant and softened.

  2. Cook the Meat: Add the chicken pieces and sausage to the pot. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink, then pour in approximately 500 ml of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer until the chicken is fully cooked and the flavors meld together.

  3. Flavor the Broth: Once the broth is simmering and the chicken is cooked, add the Indomie seasoning, chili sauce, oyster sauce, and sweet soy sauce. Stir well to combine. Taste the broth and adjust the seasoning with salt and sugar if needed to balance the flavors.

  4. Add the Noodles and Vegetables: Stir in the Indomie noodles, allowing them to cook and soak up the flavors of the broth. Add the shredded Chinese cabbage, sliced bok choy, and any additional vegetables you prefer, such as carrots or mushrooms. Continue cooking until the noodles and vegetables are tender.

  5. Prepare the Egg: For a perfect egg topping, bring a pot of water to a boil. Gently add the egg and cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove the egg and place it in a bowl of cold water to stop the cooking process. This will give you a soft-boiled egg with a runny yolk. Once cooled, carefully peel the egg.

  6. Assemble the Dish: Ladle the Indomie Kari Ayam Hot into bowls. Gently place the soft-boiled egg on top of the noodles. Sprinkle with sliced scallions and additional chilies if desired.

  7. Serve and Enjoy: Your Indomie Kari Ayam Hot is now ready to be enjoyed. Serve it hot, and savor the blend of spicy curry flavors with tender chicken, flavorful noodles, and a delightful egg topping.

This recipe is a flavorful twist on traditional instant noodles, offering a rich and spicy curry experience that’s both quick and satisfying. Perfect for a cozy meal or a casual gathering, this dish is sure to become a favorite.
